Stop and Smell the Roses

Portland is known as the "Rose City". Every June we have a big Rose Festival that entails a Rose Queen, carnival, a couple parades and many other festivities. The roses were very late in blooming this year and so they weren't out for the rose festival, but we went a few weeks ago and everything was in bloom and it was such a beautiful summer day.

There are literally hundreds of different types of roses and we love to smell them all. The best smelling seem to be the orange ones. Not to perfumey and not too sweet.

Lukey was a trooper and he took a nice hot nap in his stroller. I love how he is covering his eye!

We love living in Portland and we love to enjoy all the beautiful things it has to offer.
