Easter

I have been waiting all year for the Easter Egg hunts. Alpenrose Dairy in Beaverton does a huge Easter Egg hunt every year. They have prizes like diamond earrings, spa treatments, gift certificates, etc. I went last year with my sister and she won all sorts of stuff. I was excited this year because I knew what to look for. Unfortunately it was a sunny day and there were hundreds of people there. As you can see from the pictures below it was CRAZINESS!! Hundreds of women picking up tiny chocolate eggs. It was a lot of fun, but I didn't win anything.

Later in the day we went to the Washington County fairgrounds for another Mom's Easter Egg hunt. You have to run a lot farther in this one. So, when they said go we ran and ran, but I didn't get one egg!!! It was definitely a bummer not to win anything, but it is hilarious to see all these women diving, running and toppling over to get a prize. I love it! Next year we hope it rains so there won't be so many people.

2 Fun Films

Two good films we have liked lately. First, No Reservations.
We saw it in the $1, I mean $4 theater. Yep, that's right. We don't have dollar movies in Oregon, but at least we still have the dollar store, but I digress. This is a great clean family fun film that brings smiles and good cheer. It's one of those great movies to watch when you've had a bad week because you don't have to think a lot and it is a cute story. It is a great story about a single woman who ends up with a child and a romance she did not expect or have in her "plan". I'm sure one of the reasons Dan and I liked it so much was because there is a lot of food involved in the story. We both have a passion for food and we love watching the Food Network and we LOVE eating food. Rent it...I think you will like it.

Second, Dan In Real Life
Hilarious, awkward, touching, sad, and it has Steve Carell playing the lead so what could be better. The only reason I rented it was because Steve Carell was in it, but it turned out to be stinkin' good. Dan actually took a 92 minute break from studying last night and watched it with me we laughed we cried and we said, "oh my heck!" a lot. Dan, the man in the film, is a widower with three girls. He meets a woman and then life happens. It will definitely end up in the Lujan DVD library. You don't have to be an Office fan to like this movie. It is great. If you see it on the shelf pick it up and walk to the register.

PS- ONLY 4 MORE DAYS OF WORK UNTIL SPRING BREAK.
PPS- ONLY 10.5 HOURS IN THE CLASSROOM!!
PPPS- ONLY 7 MORE HOME VISITS!!!
BUT, I'm not counting

My Life Lately

So, I haven't posted anything in awhile. I have been busy with work and stuff. Today was the first Saturday in a long time where I can just be lazy and do nothing. I love it! We've had some excitement at school the past couple weeks.

We went on a field trip to the planetarium

Celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday. Yes, that is me marching like a fool in the background.

We read the Cat in the Hat and made our wonderful hats.

We also had the fire department visit us yesterday and we've been learning about Stop, Drop and Roll and Stay Low and Go!
Only five more days until spring break and then just nine weeks until summer vacation! I'm not counting down or anything.

People actually read this...

YAY!! So, I am really stupid and I hadn't even read some of the comments that had been posted on my own blog. I just realized that Nicole has a blog and she has been looking at mine! I'm so glad that people actually care. It's funny that all my friends from Portland look at my blog and I don't think that my family in Utah looks. Anyway, I am looking at all y'alls blogs all the time. I love the blogging world. If you read this Amy you need to put my email on your list so I can look at your blog. :) Thanks for caring everyone...
