Triple F at Family Camp

We have an inside joke in our family called Triple F- Force Family Fun. I don't even remember where it came from, but it is something that I like to say and for some reason it is funny. Here are some FFF pictures from our Family Camp.

These kids played Scum, BS and Psychiatrist more times than I can count!

She didn't want me to take her picture because he hair looked bad, so what did I do? Took her picture and tagged her on Facebook.

Each night we enjoyed eating dinner outside and enjoying the scenery.

Luke love to play ready, set, go on the side deck. He would run back and forth forever!

This was our amazing view of the lake. Unfortunately it was a little hazy from nearby fires, but still beautiful.

Ellie playing on the lawn.

Luke is just sharing his dinner with Marci.

Another one of Luke's favorite past times. Playing with light switches.

 Treasure hunting....

Time for a pretend camp fire. Because of high fire danger camp fires were outlawed inside Garden City limits so we had a pretend fire, sang camp songs and had smores from the oven!
 Singing "Jaws"
Luke's favorite "Bringing Home My Baby Bumblebee"

Can't remember what song this was, but something that involved jumping. Notice the sign over the fire pit so little toddlers wouldn't want to play in it ;)

Bear Lake Beach

We made the 12 hour trek to Utah to our Family Camp in Bear Lake. We stayed at a beautiful cabin in Garden City that had an amazing view of Bear Lake. Our first outing was to the beach.

I'm really sad to say that this was Luke's first trip to the beach. We took him to the Oregon Coast once when he was about 3 or 4 months old, but kept him in the bjorn the whole time because it was SO windy. So this was his first experience with sand and water.

I didn't know how we would do so I was pleasantly surprised when he LOVED it! He wasn't into eating the sand and rubbing it all over his body (I was VERY grateful for that) but he liked digging and playing with the sand.

"Daw" (as Luke would say) playing in the sand.

Cute Miss Livvy playing in the sand!

The boys in the sand. Yes, Luke is very happy in this picture.

Look at that face!! He is so cute I can't stand it!

Now for the water. Luke definitely likes to take a bath and can enjoy swimming, but he can also be opposed to both of those events. So, I didn't know how he would react to the cold waters of Bear Lake. Again, I was pleasantly surprised and he really liked the water! It was really shallow at the beach we were at so the water was a decent temperature. He wanted to be a big boy and walk in the water by himself.

Dawson is stopping him from going too far out. He likes to tell us when Luke is doing something that he thinks he should be doing ;)

This is my favorite picutre from the Beach. I love that little smirk.

Jordan and Jenna having a little water fight in the lake.

Luke let Daddy take him out and actually sit in the water. That only lasted a few minutes, but the boy cousins got to have some water fun together.

Pondering the seagulls...

Marci, Dan and Livvy enjoying the shade.

I know that Luke looks so happy and no that isn't sand, it is a chocolate chip cookie. This kid LOVES, I mean LOVES, chocolate. I think he has my love of sweets.

Stacking Gum

On June 12, 2012 Luke was of course getting into everything and he found my tupperware of gum. So, I let him play with it so I could make dinner. It was so fun to watch him learn how to stack the gum. He had been stacking two or maybe three blocks before this, but he sat there for at least 20 minutes stacking this gum. It was really cute.

One gum

Two gum

 Three gum

 Four gum

 Five gum!!!

July 4th

We celebrated the morning of the 4th of July at the Hillsboro Parade. Luke was more a fan of running around than actually watching the parade, but next year I'm sure we will be able to entice him with the candy that is being thrown from the many people that pass by!

These two get very serious about parade watching.

After some lunch and naps we headed up to Vancouver for the evening festivities!

Bubbles!

A Lukey toss!

Playing on the swings

 Playing in the tree house.

Enjoying some food and beverage. (This was the first time he used this chair and he looks so stinkin' cute!)

Last, but definitely not least, FIREWORKS!! Enter the war zone! If you have ever lived somewhere that allows crazy fireworks then you will know what I mean by war zone. It sounds like bombs going off all over the place and the sight is pretty amazing. We kept Luke in our laps because we didn't want to encourage running after the fire and it worked like a charm. He sat there for several hours and oohed and ahhed with us until WAY past his bedtime.
