Bear Lake Beach

We made the 12 hour trek to Utah to our Family Camp in Bear Lake. We stayed at a beautiful cabin in Garden City that had an amazing view of Bear Lake. Our first outing was to the beach.

I'm really sad to say that this was Luke's first trip to the beach. We took him to the Oregon Coast once when he was about 3 or 4 months old, but kept him in the bjorn the whole time because it was SO windy. So this was his first experience with sand and water.

I didn't know how we would do so I was pleasantly surprised when he LOVED it! He wasn't into eating the sand and rubbing it all over his body (I was VERY grateful for that) but he liked digging and playing with the sand.

"Daw" (as Luke would say) playing in the sand.

Cute Miss Livvy playing in the sand!

The boys in the sand. Yes, Luke is very happy in this picture.

Look at that face!! He is so cute I can't stand it!

Now for the water. Luke definitely likes to take a bath and can enjoy swimming, but he can also be opposed to both of those events. So, I didn't know how he would react to the cold waters of Bear Lake. Again, I was pleasantly surprised and he really liked the water! It was really shallow at the beach we were at so the water was a decent temperature. He wanted to be a big boy and walk in the water by himself.

Dawson is stopping him from going too far out. He likes to tell us when Luke is doing something that he thinks he should be doing ;)

This is my favorite picutre from the Beach. I love that little smirk.

Jordan and Jenna having a little water fight in the lake.

Luke let Daddy take him out and actually sit in the water. That only lasted a few minutes, but the boy cousins got to have some water fun together.

Pondering the seagulls...

Marci, Dan and Livvy enjoying the shade.

I know that Luke looks so happy and no that isn't sand, it is a chocolate chip cookie. This kid LOVES, I mean LOVES, chocolate. I think he has my love of sweets.
