Life

Life is returning to our neck of the woods. I love spring in Oregon because it always comes in February. It has been a beautiful week. The flowers are slowly making their way out of hibernation. The birds are chirping in the mornings. The days are slowly getting longer and it feels as if the earth is coming back to life after a long winters nap.
It has been nice to have spring this week to put a little sunshine in our souls. On Sunday we found out that our dear friends lost their four day old baby. There were complications with his birth and he spent four days on this earth before returning home to our Father in Heaven. We have shed many tears and our hearts are aching for them. We wish we could be there to support them during this difficult time. (They live in Utah) I am so grateful that I know we can have eternal families and I know our friends will be with their son again. They are the salt of the earth and I know they will get to be with their son for eternity. Even though we did not meet him or hold him we know he is a special spirit with a special mission. The spring flowers have reminded me that even after death their is life. It is because of our Savior, Jesus Christ, that we can one day be resurrected and live in eternal glory.

I hope that spring comes soon wherever you are and it reminds you of the gift of earthly and eternal life.

Beautiful pictures and even more Beautiful thoughts. I love this post and can't help but feel uplifted as I too take note of the earth and all it;s beauty. The Lord blessed us with so many gifts in nature to help us grow closer to him and life our spirits as we make our way though our trials. Our prayers are with you and your friends as they turn to the Lord in their time of need.

Reading this brought a tear to my eye, both for beauty and hope, and also for sadness for your friends. But thank goodness for the gospel and the knowledge we have of being with our families forever.

Well it doesn't come in Feb. in Ohio so thanks for rubbing it in :) No actually I'm glad you were able to enjoy that and cannot wait for it to move it's way eastward too. Great pics!

Beautiful post. I love spring and it surely does remind me of renewal how everything comes full circle. It's pretty hard to deny a greater power with such beauty around. I am sorry for your friends loss, but just like you said I am sure it brings some comfort to know that they will be with him again.
