We had the time of our lives at Disneyland! It was everything we had hoped for. We spent a total of 43 hours in the parks and went on almost 60 rides! We were lucky enough to meet up with the Perry/Later clan and it was so fun to spend the first day in the park with them. The coolest thing was Magic Morning. We were admitted one hour early into the parks on two days. On the first days we went on 10 ride in 2 hours. The park is so empty that you can basically walk onto almost any ride you want. I think our top three favorite rides were Soarin', Splash Mountain and Space Mountain. We were totally off of our lifestyle change and ate lots of yummy treats. I am happy to report that we must have burned all those calories walking because we each gained only one pound. We ate at the Blue Bayou with Sherri and Shayne and it was amazing. I have wanted to eat there since I was a little girl. If you are ever at California Adventure you must eat at Pacific Wharf Cafe. They have the best food for the best value. They had this yummy chicken salad in a huge sourdough bread bowl for $8. We also did pin trading. We bought this little starter set on the first day and we probably traded at least 25-30 times. It is the Year of a Million Dreams at Disney and we got two dreams while we were there. On our first pin trade the guy gave us a special dream pin that you can't buy and on the last day we were getting off Splash first thing in the morning and they were handing out special Dream Mickey ear hats. It was so fun to be there together with no kids. We saw kids left and right having meltdowns and tantrums and we know the next time we go to Disneyland we will be part of that crowd. We were so sad on the last night when the fireworks ended because we knew the magic was over. I did get a little teary eyed. We can't wait to go back with our kids and see their happy faces when they meet the princesses and other characters. It really is a magic place and the #2 best vacation of all times. I can't even bear to look at all of your fun pictures because we are still so BUMMED that we couldn't go with you!!! It sounds like you guys had an incredible trip...Disneyland truly is the happiest place on earth and I definitely agree about the bread bowls at Pacific Wharf Cafe. They are delicious! We may have missed this one but you'll have to take a raincheck because we'll meet you there with our kids in 5 years!
Amazing!! It looks like you had a blast! I'm still way jealous. Someday, huh? Anyway, great pictures! I'm glad you got to go!
just a word of advice since we just got done with Disneyland with our kids....WAIT till they are old enough not not need a stroller. Camryn was just the right age, tall enough to go on everything and didn't complain once. Sam on the other hand....he had fun but was a little stinker in line and didn't want to ride in the stroller. I'm glad we went but I'm also glad it's over.
I am so glad you got to go to Cali! Looks like you made your stimulus check go far and create way too much fun! Love all the pics!
What a great trip!! I've never been before...! What a fun time for just you and Dan and a great end to the school year for both of you!
That sounds like such a fun trip! I love your blog. :)I'm happy that you posted on my blog so I could come visit you on yours. :)
Oh, and it looks like you are a big Twilight fan... Can I just say those are the best books ever?!! I would love to just hash them out with you. Too bad we can't have a Breaking Dawn book discussion together in August. :)
Okay, it took me long enough to comment! Haha...but those pictures seriously almost made me cry! You did everything we did...and more! Even the salad bowls...I had that exact meal!!!
And I loved that you got good pictures of the main street parade. It was dark at that time (daylight savings) so I didn't get great pictures of the parade! But oh...I just loved ALL of the pictures!!! Glad you had fun!
