So, I have been dreaming for months about going to Disneyland, actually years. I have planned SO many trips to Disneyland that I can’t even count them. I love to get online and price it all out and then I reluctantly close the browser and realize I can’t go for one reason or another. We finally decided that we need to stimulate the economy with our economic stimulus check and we will be doing so in southern California at Disneyland!!!! I am so freakin excited, I can’t stand it. This is, I assume, going to be our last trip before we have kids. It is actually the only real trip, besides trips home, we have had since our honeymoon. We are going to spend 5 days in California.
Day 1: Arrive, Check-in, Angels Game (just for Dan)
(Sorry Heath, we wanted to go to a padres game, but they aren’t at home that day.)
Day 2: Disneyland (we have 1 hour early entrance this day)
Day 3: Disneyland: California Adventure, which neither of us have ever been to.
Day 4: Disneyland (Early entrance)
Day 5: Checkout, Beach and home at midnight!
I am so excited to go with Dan. He went when he was in fifth grade, but he got sick and Prates of the Caribbean was closed and he was very disappointed. The only ride that is closed while we are there is Small World. I think we can live without it.
So, we are accepting advice about Disneyland vacations and we are also accepting rides to and from the airport. Only 37 days!!!!!

I am so excited for you!! Yeah! And I am way way way jealous. I'm trying to talk Jared into going for a gradutaion present. It would be so fun to take the girls. Plus, when we live in AZ we can drive, it's only 6 hours away. Oh, I am so jealous. You are going to have a wonderful time.
Okay...having just been there I know a few tricks!!! Um...if you have early entry, then hit the Nemo ride first thing! It's a big hit and it's like 1-2 hours long most of the time. But if you hit it FIRST, then you'll only have to wait like 15 minutes or less!
California Adventures is awesome! Make sure to hit the Haunted Mansion. It is freakin' awesome, but I wouldn't go on it if you have a weak stomach! hehehe! And I love California Screamin! Oh...and if you go to California Adventures and you miss California Soarin' then you've missed out big time! It is incredible...and relaxing.
Um...you can't do Disneyland without watching a parade. I seriously teared up just watching the parade. Disneyland is so special! And that's my biggest piece of advice. (which I'm sure you know already) Is to completely and totally take in the magic of Disneyland. Let yourself be a kid again! If you're on the Peter Pan ride and they're singing, "Think of all the joy you'll find...when you leave the world behind..." and you start to cry, that's okay!!!
Ok...so I've confessed I'm a baby alright? But that's it...just remember the history of Disneyland and the reason it was created, and you'll really take part in the magic of it all!
Wow...sorry, long comment!
we are thinking of doing the exact same thing. We will leave Sam at home and just take Cam. You will have so much fun. Dave and I went there for our honeymoon and it was the best week of our lives...
I want to go for our anniversary in September--I love Disneyland! My favorite ride at California Adventure is the Tower of Terror...but now that I think of it...didn't you have a slight problem with that one, oh, about 8 years ago?!!!
I know absolutely NOTHING about Disneyland...but Katie and I were just talking about going today!!
we can do rides to the airport:) and i'll totally pick you up at midnight if you need it. you've done so much for me....
okay I am so excited for you! I am not the biggest disneylnd fan but I went there on a date a few years ago and it was more fun minus kids! Have fun at the beach and take lots of pics for the blog!
